Morgantown, WV – September 27, 2012: State Director Bobby Lewis announced that USDA Rural Development approved a Rural Business Opportunity Grant of $50,000 for the Center for Applied Research Technology, Mercer County, WV.
Rural Development funds will be used to provide technical assistance which will improve the success rate for technology-based entrepreneurial business development in West Virginia. Rural Development serves as the lead Federal entity for rural development needs and administers program assistance through its housing, business, community and infrastructure programs.
